Some things I’ve begun to do different because of investigating the UN Sustainable Development Goals are, when I leave a room I make sure to turn off the lights to conserve energy. By doing this it helps complete goal seven, clean and renewable energy. I also am being more thoughtful when I have a meal and not over serving myself and not wasting food. This refers to goal two, zero hunger. This way we can save our food and donate it to families that can’t afford or doesn’t have to resources to have food. In the future I can see myself volunteering at homeless shelters or food pantries to help people who can’t afford their basic needs. I think I could have a positive influence on the world because I know that I’m capable of many good things and I believe that I could change the world in a good way.

What I learned from the election
Through the classroom examination of the election issues and the candidates I learned many things. The first topic that I learned about the election issues is that there are many different opinions in relation to the election such as, being a liberal or a conservative. Both sides are correct and there’s convincing evidence for each side. Also I learned that Gary Johnson supports almost everything I do in relation to the problems in the world. An example of something we both believe in is that we both are opposed to federal minimum wage increase. The last thing I learned was that more than one candidate can agree with the same ideas that I do. An example of that is both Gary Johnson and Jill Stein agree with me that federal minimum wage shouldn’t be increased.
